This stack was designed to keep track of a collection of First Day covers. For non-philatelists, when a new stamp is issued by the postal service, one day is designated as the "Official" First Day of Issue.  A special cancel is applied on that day in one special city related to the subject being honored.  These cancellations can never again be duplicated. When filling out your cards, in order to fill in the little box opposite the descriptions, click on the word and the little box will get filled in automatically.  I am still working on a script to automatically figure the % of change per year. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. If you design your own Cachets on your Mac like I do, make an extra first day cover and send it to: Richard Wald, 1901 S. Goyer Rd.    Apt 51, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Thanks.
